The 3 inch S115 150 ACV pressure reducing control valve is designed to automatically reduce a fluctuating higher upstream pressure to a constant lower downstream pressure regardless of varying flow rates. The pressure reducing control pilot is normally open, held open by an adjustable spring setting to maintain a constant outlet pressure to the main valve.
